Sense and Sensibility, by Jane Austen, was first published in 1811. The setting for Sense and Sensibility is southwest England in the mid-1790s. The story tells of the experiences of the sisters Elinor and Marianne Dashwood as it follows the young ladies to their small cottage on a distant relative's property. There they experience love, romance and heartbreak.
