The Olive Fairy Book (Volume 11 of the “Colored Fairy Books"). The “Colored Fairy Books”, by Andrew Lang, together make up one of the largest collections of fairy tales ever compiled from a broad range of cultures and nationalities. In all, the collection presents 437 fairy tales over twelve volumes – each named by a distinctive color. All the volumes have been richly illustrated primarily by Henry J. Ford. The Olive Fairy Book, first published in 1907, contains the classics “The Green Knight”, “The Billie Goat and the King”, “The Snake Prince”, “Grasp All, Lose All”, and 25 other tales.
