The Green Fairy Book (Volume 3 of the “Colored Fairy Books"). The “Colored Fairy Books”, by Andrew Lang, together make up one of the largest collections of fairy tales ever compiled from a broad range of cultures and nationalities. In all, the collection presents 437 fairy tales over twelve volumes – each named by a distinctive color. All the volumes have been richly illustrated primarily by Henry J. Ford. The Green Fairy Book, first published in 1892, contains the classics “The Three Little Pigs”, “The Story of the Three Bears”, “The Magic Swan”, “The Three Musicians”, and 38 other tales.
